CBA Tuition Scholarship Program

CBA offers a limited number of reduced tuition scholarships for students who are currently enrolled in a graduate degree-granting program and do not have other funds available to cover the standard tuition. The scholarship represents a 50% reduction in the standard tuition, allowing a scholarship recipient to enroll in the workshop for $900. This reduced tuition in no way impacts any aspect of the workshop experience; the recipient receives all components of the full workshop.

Applications for the student scholarship are due March 30, 2012, and decisions will be made no later than April 15th. We will continue to accept applications after this due date and grant awards if resources remain available. To apply, email a brief description of your current academic affiliation and area of study, your prior training in quantitative methods, the motivation for your interest in further statistical training, and clarification that you have no other available resources to cover the standard tuition rates.

Applications should be limited to approximately 300 words or less. Applications may be submitted for both the MLM and SEM workshops, but these will be considered separately. Scholarship recipients will be asked to submit a brief email from their advisor indicating that they are actively engaged in a graduate training program, but this is not required for the initial application.

Send applications to scholarship@cbanalytics.org by March 30, 2012. Please do not register for the workshop until you have been informed of a scholarship award. Awardees will be provided with a scholarship code to allow registration at the reduced rate. Please direct any questions or comments to the address above.

Minority Fellowship Travel Awards

A limited number of minority travel fellowships (up to $900) may be available through the generous support of the Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology. If accepted for a SMEP travel award, Curran-Bauer Analytics will offer a matching reduction in tuition (so that tuition is reduced by 50% to $900).

To apply, please indicate your interest in the fellowship when registering for the course and send the following materials to fellowship@cbanalytics.org: a declaration of minority status (defined, for the purposes of the fellowship, as Latino/a, African American, or Native American), your Curriculum Vita (CV), and a short personal statement that indicates how the workshop will support your short- and long-term goals as a scholar.

Applications from students or post-doctoral fellows should include a list of prior coursework and grades on the CV. Applications for the student scholarship are due March 30, 2012, and decisions will be made no later than April 15th. We will continue to accept applications after this due date and grant awards if resources remain available. Preference will be given to doctoral student applicants, though other scholars are also encouraged to apply.
